19th Annual 48hrs of Tristate. Jan 16-19, 2020.

2020 will be the 19th consecutive year that we will be holding The 48hrs of Tristate Annual Charity Drive. This annual group drive includes about 1,000 miles of driving spread over 3 days.

Not only is this trip an amazing way to see the scenic winterscapes but it is an opportunity for you to help give back to the community. All registrants are required to sign up through our link to Make-A-Wish New Jersey, a charity which makes “wishes” for children with life threatening medical conditions. The donations you make to MAW act as your “entry fee” for the event. They are also tax deductible!

There are all different folks who attend the trip, young adults, families, retirees, you name it, if they enjoy Subarus they are there. We caravan in groups of 10-15 cars and communicate from car to car via CB radios. People share stories during the trip and many folks have made lifelong friends through the past events. It is truly an amazing way folks bond together!

This year we will be kicking off the trip at Make-A-Wish New Jersey on Friday January 17 with a breakfast sponsored by Subaru of America and will hold our Annual 48hrs of Tristate Charity Door Prize Drawing between breakfast and lunch! The sponsors of the trip all donate prizes to drawing and the amount of tickets you receive are based on how much you help raise! After the morning festivities at Make-A-Wish New Jersey, we will have a group drive up to the Finger Lakes Region of Central NY where we will stop on the first night of the trip. Saturday we will get an early start and be heading to Niagara Falls, NY through Western New York State. Don’t forget to bring your passport if you want to venture to the Canadian side of the Falls which has some excellent dining venues and there is also a Casino there as well. Sunday the groups will head South out of Niagara Falls toward the closing dinner in Middletown, NY. Routes and activities will become more solidified as the Planning Committee hones it down this Fall.

Registration for Vendors is already setup so if you are a returning or new vendor please register ASAP. Participant registration will be open within a few weeks and we’ll announce it here on our website and social media outlets and by signing up for our NEW Texting System!

Man, that sounds fun! I wish stuff like this came to the PNW side of the boards. I've met so many members on here in onesies and twosies. If not a formally sanctioned event, it be nice to just host or get out on a drive with several of Legacy/Outback enthusiasts in the PNW. Unfortunately, I've been running back and forth between GA & TX for work since late-July, but I'll be back in WA early Feb. I'll give it some thought between now and then.

Have fun & take pictures Enlight!
