Geoff D.
I just scored a very good condition drivers seat to replace the one in my 05 GT, which is ripped and split at the seam. Seeing as these seats have air bags, do I need to take any additional precautions when installing it aside from pulling the battery cable first? ViscousSquirrel
Unhook the battery and wait for a few minutes for all the capacitors to discharge then have at it.

BagRidersJohn
If its from the same year then all should be a direct swap. As others have said, discharge the battery. I find it helpful to tip the seat backwards and access the plugs from the front. They can sometimes be a PITA to get unplugged, just take your time. I believe that later model years have a position sensor that is riveted to the seat slider frame so if you got a seat e.g. from an 06-09 then it may have that sensor and your chassis wont have a plug for it... maybe My 2007 specB (full undercarriage & drivetrain refinish, every nut and bolt replaced, full engine rebuild/restore, glass-out respray, air ride, wide body, and more!
