^That's actually not bad IMO.

It is what it is. The first owner is always going to take a hit on all the fees associated with importation. I'm not planning to sell it anytime soon so the costs will be absorbed into the ownership. To buy the car in Japan would only cost you £7-8k if you lived there.

RHD is weird. Interesting the engine harness connector changes sides. Makes sense I guess to make room for brake master cylinder.

But, man, the downpipe/turbo area must be tight.

So beautiful!

Be super careful with the powder coating on the mounting surface of the wheel.

A friend of mine worked for Lyfe Motorsports and they had some powder coating come apart on one of their Sierra cars at Pike's Peak. It caused the fastener to lose tension and the nut spun itself off. Could have been fatal.

Start watching around 17:20.

I would hate to have anything happen to you or your amazing car.

Thanks. Yes, he does the hubs really light and I also went over it with a little sander and some fine paper. It has a good mating surface.

Wow, what a cool car!

I'm gonna have to find a pair of those seats!

just to note. the tbsti and s402 seats suck for comfort. they are the same as our usdm lgt seats, just have a different covering and are ridiculously heavy. i switched to the 2014 STI seats and they are sooo much better for long driving and performance track days. Whoever was in charge of seat design on the Legacy should have been fired.

MDMA keep it coming! Those are some awesome pictures of those wheels and they are gonna look great on that car. I really like that center console to it is so much nicer than the US lDM center consoles...seems like everyone outside the US gets nicer stuff for their Subies. You have any specs on the transmission? Just curious how different the 5eat is outside the US.

Not to threadjack but 05MNLGT did you have any info on the 14 STi seat install in your build thread?

I dropped the car off at my nearest Subaru specialist on Saturday just gone. It's having a big service! Cambelt, Water pump, low temp thermostat, gearbox flush, new front and rear diff oil, new plugs, K+N panel filter, remap for VPower 99 fuel and suspension set to fast road spec. Will be picking it back up this Saturday. A few of us have a ride out planned the first Sunday in May. Been over a year now since we last went out!

I'll get the camera out this weekend and get some proper pictures, instead of the ones on my phone.

Hey MDMA looking at radiators how’s yours setup as an auto? Seems like all aftermarket don’t have a tranny oil cooler so does the STi w/auto have one or is it separate/external? Thanks

The ATF cooler is all part of the radiator. No separate cooler on this.

This week's little project. I was after some carbon arch guards but they don't make them for my model. Got the paper and cardboard out to make a set of templates, ordered a sheet of 2x2 twill double sided carbon and will make my own.

Below is the link for what the product is.

My templates ready for transferring onto carbon.
