so I ordered these diamond car mats and I am more then impressed. the carpet under the mats like to eat sand and it's a pain to get it out so hopefully they help. the all weather floor mats fit on top, but just. I also slapped on some 245/45R18 Potenza RE-71R on the stock rims and they're gripping gorgeously.

Had the chrome around the windows and mirrors covered with vinyl.. Took it to a local wrap shop.. Had the kit from Crux Motorsports but installer said it was cut too small..They wrapped it with their vinyl and charged 350.. I contacted Crux and they refunded my money.. Stand up company in my book…First pic is before and last two are with vinyl..

It looked uncomplete without these but now that they are installed, I am unsure how I feel about them. I am referring to the color matched body side molding and trunk spoiler on my 2022 Touring XT. Maybe I just need to get used to it:

I couldn't agree more with your thought that it looked unfinished without them. I had my dealer add them to mine before purchasing. It's not that the car looks bad without them - just less sporty - in my opinion.

On our now 5 month old 2022 Legacy I have added a full sized spare and junked the donut.  I placed two 2' x 2' exercise floor squares stacked on the spare wheel to level the base under the trunk carpet pad backing, for strength and stiffness, and to have mats to put on the ground when changing a tire.  I ditched all the foam inserts, of course.  The tools are now in a tool bag in the trunk and include an electric pump inflator and an offset torque wrench from Harbor Freight that allows a full turn without interference from the body.

The only other addition has been magnetic black carbon fiber look protective covers for the door handle cups.

After the 24 months of dealer service I will install a catch-can in the PCV circuit to forestall carbon buildup on the intake valves.

I got some blue LED door step lights and a white LED trunk light for my '23 Touring XT. Night mode on the iPhone accentuates the colors a little bit but the blue LED door step lights are super bright! I'm very happy with these lights so far!

I like the wheels. However personally I would have gone with 19s or even 20s to fill the gap to the wheel well.  Most likely 19s just so the ride quality was not diminished.

I thought about it but I wanted to drop as much weight in the rims as possible so it made sense to stay at 18s. I want to add air suspension in the front to drop it down so it doesn't have the squated look that it comes stock with.

Fixed a squeaking trunk lid on a 2022 model. The squeak was coming from somewhere in the hinge mechanism, both when opening and closing the lid. The source of the sound turned out to be at the linkage piece between the torsion rod and the curved hinge piece to which the lid is bolted. Specifically, it was at the pivoting joint where the link connects to the hinge. The solution was to copiously spray those joints, left and right, with white lithium grease, both in a fully open and in a half open position. You want to make sure that enough grease penetrates into the gap between the two moving parts. To gain access, I unclipped the fuzzy quarter panel trim pieces and curved them towards the center of the car. The plastic trunk sill trim also needs to be out of the way to do this. All trim is held with Xmas tree push pins.  To remove the cargo hooks in upper corners, rotate them 1/4 turn into horizontal position and then pull out.

I had the same problem with my 2022 Legacy Sport...Was scheduled for service to fix it and oil and filter change...Instead I traded it in for a 2024 Legacy Sport in Pearl White after owing three blue Subarus...
