luisfe3
Hello! So I've recently bought a 05 Legacy GT and long story short I got a CEL for the engine running lean and figured out a hose was popped off (circled in red) but now I found this blue box that I can't figure out what it is and where the end goes (circled in blue). It would be great help if someone could identify it so I could google where it goes and find myself a video. So far "little blue box with two screws" isn't good enough as search keywords and I think it looks electrical but I'm too dunce to understand the wiring diagrams It's located on the driver side of the engine, right side of the intercooler, front of the brake fluid. whitetiger
Seems to be an aftermarket fused lead. Did the car have any aftermarket electronics or lighting?
luisfe3
Ahhh that makes sense, I pulled up the papers of the work done to the car and saw there was aftermarket speakers installed a few years ago (now removed, darn). Narrowed it down to the T-Spec V10-8PK amp kit. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! In your opinion would it be okay to leave in, just zip tie it so it ain't loose, or should I go about removing it?
luisfe3
Nvm, just took a look see on where it leads and it goes towards the inside of the car in a hard to reach spot, I'll most likely just zip tie it on something so it doesn't weigh down on the hose. Thank you for your help!
xjsc16x
Yup, definitely looks like a now-unused feed wire from a previous amp installation. -Justin
