CamaroSS2000
So i am on my way to work this morning and i switch my vent to defrost and a minute later SNAP. Busted the windshield again. I had it replaced due to a big rock chip that turned into huge crack. That was march of 2018. WTF is up with these weak windshields?
Yoda_One
Bad karma. Just be glad you have your health, the ability to have your freedom to complain and the beautiful Sun to gaze upon. Look to the positive, at least you do not have Eyesight. hkshooter
I just had to replace my second windshield. Not an eyesight car so the hit wasn't so bad but I'm sick of putting windshields in these cars. Wife's 2019 has been replaced, too. Mine twice. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
waldguy
I took a big rock hit near the rear view mirror, with star pattern damage too big to repair. I thought for sure it would travel with our huge temperature swings. After four years, the original is still holding. Note that there has been some limited coverage by Subaru for failure due to the design flaw in the windshield warming area under the wipers: https://subaru.oemdtc.com/384/windshield-cracking-concerns-2015-2016-subaru-legacy-outback That said, it appears to be a Subaru weak point and some drivers have replaced up to four windshields. See site comments of the following for a little casual reading. https://beranek.agrrmag.com/2015/12/subaru-extends-windshield-warranty/ https://info.glass.com/spontaneous-windshield-breakage/ Edited February 13, 2020 by waldguy web link addition
