frank_ster
Let me know if there is already a thread like this. But I couldn’t find Anyways my o5 wagon I changed clutch and the tob chirped forever , Now I have 09 outback , I get a clutch kit. And the throw out bearing is slightly loose , it’s 33.6 mm Id. The original is about 33.1. The shaft is 33mm Also looking at the tob the outer spinning part not concentric with the inner sliding sleeve . What’s the deal eh ? Just shitty parts ? Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
Max Capacity
I'm thinking crappy parts. Just put a little high temp grease on the tranny snout for the TOB to slide on. I dab in the Pilot bearing is a good idea too. I also lightly grease the splines too. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). Nonamedude
Yea sounds like just differences in manufacturing tolerances. Considering that you can use the tsk kit to sleeve the snout and run a larger bearing without issue. I didn't measure mine before putting it on but that's only 1.5% difference in size. Is your snout still nice and smooth? Maybe swap it. I'm assuming it's oe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
