Burning Oil When Engine Warm

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am unfamiliar with turbos and I can't seem to find any info on whether a turbo could send oil into the exhaust after it has warmed up.

As the title reads, my 2008 LGT wagon is using oil, but only when warm. It seems to smoke a little with light throttle applications, but I can't rev it while parked and warm to get it to burn oil.

It does not burn oil on start. It do not see smoke when on the throttle hard.

It has 40k with forged pistons, a new turbo, a catless dp, and is tuned.

This doesn't seem like the classic rings, or valves, being warn and causing oil consumption. But I could be wrong. It uses about a half liter every 2000kms and I notice the smell of burning oil when reversing.

Any ideas for trouble shooting?
