shet
I have a 2009 Legacy sedan 2.5i limited. Got rear brake pad part num OEM 26696AE040 from Subaru dealer. Turns out the width at the bottom is more at around 13 or 14 mm while my current brake pads are 10 mm. See picture. New brake pad does not fit caliper. Part # 26696AG031 seems to have the same bigger width too. Not sure now what brake pads should I order now. Max Capacity
Never thought about paying for OEM pads. Take them back, get your money back and go to the local auto parts store and buy the right pads for less money. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. shet
OP here. Picked up Part # 26696AG031 from local Subaru dealer after measuring the ears of the brake pad at their desk. It is around 9-10 mm. Should fit my existing caliper slots easily.
Max Capacity
FWIW, I seem to recall back when I did the first set of rear brakes on my wagon, I used WRX rear pads. At that time, the auto parts stores didn't list parts for a 2005 GT yet. Just checked my book, that was May 24 2006. Wagon had 50,100 miles. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
