Risen Saint Posted October 9, 2019 Share Posted October 9, 2019 On the gauge cluster with Tach/Fuel/Coolant temp yesterday where the miles indication is, it reads Er IU and the coolant temp and fuel gauges would drop all the way then jump back up to where they should be. Also the red lamp that indicates if you open a door/the trunk lid would light up with the gas light when the fuel gauge would drop to E. This gas light problem only ties to why it seemed to be malfunctioning.. i have 3/4 tank of gas.. no leaks i think the instrument panel is just malfunctioning hence the ER IU on where your miles are displayed.. anyone?? Max Capacity Posted October 16, 2019 Share Posted October 16, 2019 FWIW, I have left the battery disconnected for 15 minutes to reset the ECU. Not sure if that 1 minute is long enough... 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
