ZackC
So I'm relatively new to the whole tuning culture. I have a 2009 LGT with the 5sp auto. I bought the car stock, since then I've had to replace a blown VF-46 Turbo with a VF-52 Turbo. Shortly after, having to rebuild the engine. After the rebuild I have installed a header-back exhaust (one cat from the Invidia Catback system), Intake, and a Cobb V3 Accessport. I plan on installing 1050cc fuel injectors, a bigger fuel pump, and a TM intercooler (not sure if i want to convert to FM because of cost). With all this said I know I'm losing Torque from the torque converter from the AT. That being said, I want to know what anyone suggests would be the best tranny to swap in (MT 6sp or 5sp, no preference). And what will hold up for me the longest being the abusive driver I am lol. Thanks in Advance, Zack
SubaruTrissi
I would recommend the 6speed all day, its more expensive than the 5speed but way way more reliable and fun (especially if you get a dccd one). I just swapped my 4th gen today from a 4eat to a 5speed and its not that hard Sent from my subie cave’s pc 1997 impreza GT: sold 2002 impreza WRX: sold 2005 forester sti: on jackstands 2004 legacy base: turbokit in da trunk

Or are there adapters or modifications needed?
