EZ30 timing chain tensioner

ignore all the red areas those are just timing guides that was the best picture i could find.

 

there seem to be a couple of tentioners on the ez30 one on top driver side and bottom passenger side, if the engine came of of timing during the part failure a lot more could be damaged.

There was no failure, I already had my timing apart. I solved this issue, according to a local subaru tech you can reassemble the tensioner by slipping the pars together, just can't let parts go flying everywhere. :)
