Trunk lid alignment

Thanks, I have already read that topic, but there is no solution for the problem.

 

On the lid side there are 4 holes as mentioned the above topic:

"one hole on each side is a perfect circle and the other is elongated"

So it cannot be adjusted here.

 

The other side the bolts come from inside the cabin, I don't think it can be adjust there. It would require to disassemble the whole backseat part of the car.

It looks like you tried closing the trunk while something in between it. I did the same with something on the side and mine leaks driving in the rain because of it.

 

I bought the car with this issue. I found a broken part from a previous torsion bar inside the trunk. So something might happened there before.

At least mine doesn't leak. But it's really annoy me...

Would you be open to making the holes elongated with a dremel? I couldn't find anything in regards to adjusting it in the body repair manual.

 

Yeah, I had to do it like this. Not perfect, but much better than before.

 

I will post some pictures from the result later.
