08SpecB_DE Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Hey guys, Long story short, every year when it starts to get warm, my car has a hard time starting. Let's say its 60° in the morning, car fires up fine. At the end of a work day its 85° and the car will crank and crank. I've primed the pump thinking it or an injector was leaking down, that didn't help. The only thing that does help is holding the gas pedal down just a little bit. Now that it has been consistently warm, it starts every time no matter the conditions. I have a fpr sitting on my toolbox but I dont want to put it on if it's something silly like the ots tune adjusting to temperature fluctuation. Perhaps I should start with cleaning the throttle body? I'm a little nervous about cleaning the maf, I've seen them get ruined even when using maf cleaner. Should I try anyways?
