05 MT compatibility questions..

I wish I knew more about this. Im sure it'll bolt right up but the gear ratios might be different between turbo and NA. As long as the final drive is the same as the rear end then you should be ok.

Once again not a definite answer but hopefully someone else who knows more will chime in.

After more research I was able to find out that the main difference between turbo n NA 5 speeds for 05 legacy is that NA has a push clutch and turbo has a pull clutch...same gear ratios and final drive...incase any1 else reading cares lol

There is a different bearing set up in the GT's to handle more torque.

 

You can see the difference if you study the opposedforces diagrams.

 

I know because I have ordered enough of those parts for my wagon over the years.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
