gimpydingo
I finally got around to rebooting my original axle that I had replaced with a surtrack. Took a while to get the axle out of the tranny and once I got it free the edge of the tranny where the axle sits chipped. Think it will leak? How screwed am I? rhino6303
I actually think you'll be alright. I can't even see the seal in the picture so it is still recessed enough.

Notorious
If the seal is intact I’d bet you’d be fine.
apexi
I wouldn't be worried at all, doesn't look like you hit the seal mating surface, just chipped the thin part on the outside.
moral hazard
If anyone asks you about it, tell them it's an inspection hole that you intentionally installed.
Rhitter
Looks like a perfect opportunity to JB weld something. My OBXT build
DaveWaters
Looks like a perfect opportunity to JB weld something. I’d definitely build that up with som JB weld. If some debris enters it probably wont come out. May not do any damage to the seal but why take a chance.
gimpydingo
I have the metal chip still so I could JB Weld it. I might give that a go.

My 2009, I assumed they were the same, but I don't see the bolt after looking at your picture a second time. Unless it's just the camera angle?
