Backproblems
I've been driving this '07 legacy for about 2 weeks now, and I'm starting to get lower back /neck pain from the drivers seat. I've never had a problem with any previous car I've owned, I've done some research and it seems that subaru doesn't make comfortable drivers seats. Is there any way I can fix this? Im not sure what can be done and haven't found much online. Are there any full seat covers or modifications I can make to remedy this problem? Thank you! AWDFTW
Too subjective to really answer. The seat in my 2006 is one of the most comfortable I have driven in...
Backproblems
Not to be rude, but your comment is irrelevant as its a different year and model. Glad you are comfortable. I'm looking at different seat cushions such as this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041RPGQ6/ref=psdc_3777121_t2_B0013T7OL0 https://www.amazon.com/LoveHome-Lumbar-Support-Cushion-Headrest/dp/B011BJX3JS/ref=sr_1_5?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1544733784&sr=1-5&keywords=car+headrest+cushion I found this post https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/seat-adjustment-help-47622.html?t=47622&highlight=seat+uncomfortable I hope someone with knowledge of the 2007 Subaru legacy's driver seat can chime in. As far as I know, all the available seats for the 4th Gen Legacy 2005-2009, and thus the OBXT as well, are the same. There’s the cloth seats, leather seats from the limited package, and the Spec B seats with the blue alcantara/suede. Have you tried adjusting the side bolstering all the way up or down? landark
I have to say, I've always found my 07 seats comfortable for long trips but I would have upper thigh and lower back pain when driving my wife's 09 LGT for more than about 20 minutes. I always assumed it was because I never got her seat in the same position as mine. But I thought it was really odd.
AWDFTW
Since a 2006 and 2007 are functionally the same vehicle, I'm gonna just ignore anything else now. Have a nice day. That uncomfortable seat seems to have made you rather grumpy.
awfulwaffle
No issues with my LGT seats, but in my WRX I get lower back pain when driving over 2 hours. Picked up one of these at a truck stop, which allows me to make the 6 hour drive I make to see family in one go, with only mild discomfort towards the end: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/samsonite-reg-memory-foam-lumbar-cushion/3302754?skuId=60079367&&mrkgcl=609&mrkgadid=3310438702&enginename=google&mcid=PS_googlepla_nonbrand_luggage_online&product_id=60079367&adtype=pla&product_channel=online&adpos=1o4&creative=223509067095&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CjwKCAiAo8jgBRAVEiwAJUXKqN-mWD6j3aDIr_Hs4SHXeWwU8qaoFP2L32r0BysDsWSjhHZCpDsO5xoC4DgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Can't speak to neck pain. Redslaya
I used to have the same problem, 45 minutes in and my lower back killed. ended up reading on here to try setting the back of the seat near vertical. tilting it up made a huge difference in comfort. Tronic
Never had any problems with seat comfort in new cars. The last car I drove that killed my back was a really old Honda. I think they used to make all the seats for short people and you knew you were in trouble when the seat didn't go back far enough. No problems with Subaru, has to be one of the best. Thanks, this helped a little but I definitely need to get some sort of cushion with lumbar/neck support. This is by far the worst seat design I've ever sat in. I envy you people who claim to not get back pain from this

apexi
I'm reluctant to reply because I don't have firsthand experience with any of this, but I came across the thread below. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/back-pain-seats-223153p3.html In post #36 he mentions a particular seat cushion. When googling that cushion (#2 in the link below), some of the other products in this link look like they could work as well. https://www.blackbearmedical.com/Catalog/Online-Catalog-Category.aspx?cid=11071&sid=1894

JmP6889928
Thanks a ton! Based on looking at your link, those look to be quite thick. If I were to purchase those and sit on them, I would believe they would put me far too high in the seat and make the driving position much worse, but if they work for you, then that's all that matters. Good luck.
