IcEWoLF
https://www.subaru.com/owners/navigation.html Hi there, put your model number and you should be able to download the latest update.
mrfriess
Thanks Icewolf, I’m looking for the most current head unit version number and it appears from this link that it points only to maps update. I greatly appreciate your response and am hopeful that I’ll be able to find the info I need.
IcEWoLF
This update takes care of the whole head unit, not just maps. I’ve updated about two weeks ago and everything is good to go. You could also call your dealer and ask them about the latest version.

Beerguy419
After you download the update and put it on a flash drive you just put the flash drive into the usb port and that's it?

gulzeb
No updates for non-nav units?
securityguy
Typically, when an update comes out, they make them available for all radios and not just the NAV-based units.
securityguy
You could also call your dealer and ask them about the latest version. Most, if not all, dealers won't have a clue as to the version details but it's only a phone call;)
gulzeb
Thanks to this thread I’m getting update installed right now
rec630
I received an HU update last week which was 2 or 3 versions above what I had installed. It looks like the radio will stay off now when starting the car if it is turned off when shutting off the car. There was a thread or 2 on the radio auto on some time back. meaux
2018 3.6R... No Navigation... No Eyesight... 3,600 miles... What do the 'Updates' effect? Just the Head Unit? Any other Functions on the Car like Transmission Shift Points or Engine Management? I only use the Radio and the Media Player... They both work fine since the Dealer Updated back in July... Thanks...
