fixmysubaru Posted October 24, 2018 Share Posted October 24, 2018 Anyone know of any independent repair shops in or near Queens NY (NYC) that either specializes or does a lot of work on Subaru's? My 07 Legacy has a leaking valve cover gasket with stripped and seized bolts in the hard to reach places. Went to a couple of nearby repair shops and no one wanted to touch it for fear of breaking the bolt... unless I wanted to pay to pull the engine out and drill out the bolts at $1000+. I'm sure the dealer will charge more. Not keen on paying that much for a such an old car with 200k miles and I don't have the time to muck with it any longer myself. I'm hoping a experienced Subaru shop may have a few tricks up their sleeves to un-seize the bolts without having to remove the engine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
