Mr.RMFC
Hi Guys, So I have a 2005 Legacy GT, It has some problems that I am working on getting parts to fix. What I was wondering is if someone could tell me what will I be able to bolt on to my legacy from a 2008+ WRX? I know the transmission and rear dif I can use as well as the engine (obvs) but what about suspension stuff? Also, If i were to put a transmission and rear diff in from a wrx, would I need any custom parts made or would my current axles and driveshaft bolt on to them. same with the transmission mount. also, any other parts that would fit onto the car would be good to know. Mr.RMFC
I ask about the 2008+ WRX because there are a few being parted out in my area but no LGT's
relative4
Engine not so obvious. '08 WRX has different cylinder heads from the '05 Legacy.
seanyb505
Heads work just fine as long as you: have the correct hard oil lines, take the new heads into account with the tune, and have air pump block off plates. 100% unsure of rest of stuff. Max Capacity
I think we assume your using your intake manifold and wire harness. I'm sure the short blocks are the same. I think there is another thread yesterday asking the same type question, using a 08 in a 05. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
