After engine swap 2007 legacy gt won’t start

Recommended Posts

Okay guys so I swapped my 2007 legacy gt with a 2008 legacy gt engine because mine spun a bearing and I got a killer deal on an the whole car with the engine with 20k miles.

Anyways The 2008 legacy gt had no codes ran and drove fine engine wise just had a lot of rot and suspension issues. I decided to swap the into my 2007 legacy gt and I finished the swap and now my car just cranks and won’t turn on. I have a lot of engine codes that say “circuit high input” so I’m beginning to think I might of shorted the wiring harness some how. I made sure everything is plugged it correctly and added grounds to the car and even got a new battery. Still the car just cranks.

What do you guys think?

PM "m sprank" I'm sure he'll have the fix. I think there may be some differences between the 07 and 08, sensor wise.

The service manual may help, http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

Main grounds behind drivers side tgv. 08 uses the grounds, but the mount/bracket is different. If you dont connect the grounds...

Seen same thing happen during tgv deletes. Grounds are forgotton on install of tgv as the bracket is gone.

Replied to op pm last night. Think I had his problem nailed in about 30sec with first reply. LOL. He sent a pic in 2nd reply and he thinks he missed the grounds on install.

If not I am now subscribed and can continue to assist.
