legacynub
I recently bought a Stage 2 Action Clutch because my throwout bearing completely failed. I got the Action Clutch in the mail and when I put the clutch right on the transmission to test fit, it is a bit loose. There is some play in it. if I hold the snout, i can wobble the clutch a little bit.. is this normal or should i call and try to return/swap for another? relative4
Pretty stiff clutch. What mods is it supporting?
Max Capacity
Should be very little movement of the clutch disc on the spline from the tranny. The input shaft will have play in it as well. I have never noticed any movement but then I have never worried about it. I do test fit but never really wiggled it around. I suggest you put a light coat of high temp grease on the splines as well as the snout on the tranny where the TOB slides. Oh yea grease the ID of the pilot bearing too. Anti-seize compound on all bolt and nut threads. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. legacynub
the car afaik has a BNR 16g, cat cobb dp, gutted up pipe, invidia q300, aem intake. The clutch disk probably has a couple millimeter of play maybe? it does a slight wiggle.

Max Capacity
That's seems to be more then I recall. It has been a while since I've checked... Ask action clutch, send it to them, or the email I gave you. Edited October 2, 2018 by Max Capacity 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. relative4
That seems not good. You could buy an OEM clutch and compare.
legacynub
I called them and they said its suppose to wiggle a bit.. but not sure how much wiggle this is compared to their tolerance. They said "we've been using the same hub for the subaru transmissions for years now."
