Boulderguy
I know, generic question but I'm a turbo neophyte '05 OXT at 92k miles, original owner, original turbo, zero engine mods. The last few days the turbo has felt weak. Checked my boost gauge under WOT tonite, it usually reads around 15psi, now only showing 11psi. It was 73° out. Wondering if it's time to check the turbo for replacement. No CEL's or any other problems. For those more experienced, what would you do?

Boulderguy
Thanks. Work with me on the terms - boost leaks at plumbing joints for example? Fuel trims meaning fuel mixture like pump or injectors?
relative4
http://www.turboboostleaktesters.com Google BtSsm learning view If you can make it down to the tech center, I can do this testing for free. Or look up traildogck here or at subaruoutback.org, he's closer.
JF1GG29
When the turbo on my WRX started going, it wouldn't hit boost targets. It very slowly got worse, and then it started making crazy noise as the blades contacted the housing.
