m sprank
You need to verify rather than use the seat of your pants. More than one way to check boost, iam, etc.
lgtPR
im going to try install a boost gauge this weekend. i want to check everything before i start modding the car
Infosecdad
Is this "no mods" car, the same on in your other thread where the previous owner did a DIY intake? If so, that's most definitely a "mod", and honestly a potentially dangerous one if it wasn't tuned to account for it. Anything else different? Have you tried hooking up a logger or Btssm? Just a boost gauge is not going to be enough, you need to be able to read a lot more from the ECU.
lgtPR
Car dont have stock air box just a hose with a cone filter. i doubt the car is tuned for this change
m sprank
IAM could be dropping. MAF scaling could be way off. The list of possibilities is almost endless.
ehsnils
With data "off" due to mods without a tune anything can happen including burnt valves, killed cat and ringland failures.
