SBT
Just saw this story about Maj Kurt Lee posted today. A quick quote form the Marine Corps Times: Lee, who was born in San Francisco and raised in Sacramento, earned the Navy Cross and the Silver Star for separate acts of valor within a one-month period during the early part of the war. At one point, he led his Marines through a blizzard and intense enemy fire to save eight thousand more Marines from certain capture.Rest easy Major. andrew.anderson
What are folks opinion on the compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act, including a 1 percent military pay raise, a 1 percent housing allowance reduction, and a $3 increase in most prescription co-pays?
andrew.anderson
The 2014 pay raise was 1 percent, as well. That is the lowest basic pay raises since the dawn of the all-volunteer era in 1973. The private sector pay growth this year was 1.8%.

andrew.anderson
Tricare. Change it or not? Survey of 14,000 say they want it left alone. Not shockingly a strong majority of you just don’t anything about it changed at all. The second favorite option was to only change it for those who haven’t yet joined the military. And far and away the minority picked actual changes as an option.
SBT
Those in charge only see the cost-drivers, they don't look at the tangible & intangible benefits. In today's world, cost-drivers will always win over benefit, especially when assessed and managed by a government with out-of-control spending habits. Make no mistake about it, Tricare - Standard and Prime - were designated for the chopping block from the inception of Obamacare. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
