DonnyJagaru
The last time my AC was serviced they put dye in it to find the leak. Not sure why they didn't find it at the time, perhaps it was so slow there was nothing to detect? Fast forward 500 days and I have no AC. I had a look at night with my trust halloween black light but don't see any fluorescing anywhere. Even under the cap used to fill the system. Is the light something "special" or perhaps not UV? Where do these things normally leak? It's a 2008 Legacy 2.5i.
bugblatterbeast
mine leaked at the condenser o-orings, compressor discharge o-ring and the low side schrader valve. I made the mistake of using an aftermarket schrader valve core a few years back. its leaking there again.... if you swap out the o-rings, make sure you get refrigerant safe rings. they cost about the same, but last much longer.
