waikiki
I'm thinking of swapping tail lights from a U.S. 2008 Subaru Outback into my Canadian 2007 Legacy wagon...(I prefer the white turn signals) I've done a lot of reading on swapping tail lights, and I'm fairly certain the 08-09 tail lights should fit on a 05-07 wagon without much problem. but considering the following: - that the tail lights are coming from a U.S. car compared to my Canadian car. - although both are the same body type, the Outback is 08-09 (redesigned headlights and tail lights) and my Legacy is the older 05-07. - and obviously, one is an Outback and the other is a Legacy. are there any other issues with this swap? iirc, I read from a thread.. the only issue, was that on a 2005 wagon...the light bulb holders had an extra tab that needed to be modded to fit an 08 light. hope you guys can advise. I did the exact same thing with my car when my buddy was parting out an 08 Outback. The lights will work but like you mentioned you will have to dremel or trim off the extra tab. Other than that it swaps over no issues
waikiki
thanks for confirming jrho... i'm looking forward to the swap...gonna try and get the complete light bulb wiring harness with adapter... hopefully the adapters are the same, and I can plug into the main harness located behind the rear panels.
