bermo
As my car was in the shop getting an IWG set up done, I had the tech chase down an oil leak I suspected was coming from the turbo drain. Under idle (low oil pressure/low volume) is does not leak. Drive it normally and it leaves a puddle, drive it harder and you eventually can smell the smell. I am told it is leaking at the connection at the hard line (from head) to the rubber oil drain hose. Hose clamps have been tried. New drain hose has been tried. Turbo feed orifice checked for size. Hard line to head has been pulled and checked. There is no oil pressure in the drain, there should not be a level there, how is this leaking?? How does the oil get back to the block from the head? Is there an oil passage through the head gasket? Any ideas would help out.

bermo
I'm wondering if the port through the head gasket has an obstruction, which would fill the head up with oil, which would back fill into the drain. But golly, that just seems silly. I kindathinkmaybe I remember there were two different head gaskets out there with different porting cutouts? But, that turbo drain should hold a static load anyways. Anybody ever see the hard line to the head have a crack?
