How important is offset?

I have a brighton legacy. I picked up some 15" wheels off a gen 3 legacy which I believe are the same offset. However; I am going to get another 15" wheel to have a full size spare, and can only find 2nd gen outback wheels locally. If the offset is slightly different as I believe it is +52 rather than +48 will this make a difference if I end up having to run the spare for a few hundred miles?

It'll be fine and won't matter for your application, as long as the tire is the same size.
