P0700 & p0768 transmission issue

So I recently withing maybe a month purchased a 05 legacy gt (5eat) , however, seems within the last week I noticing some issues. I noticed now at times it hard shifts into 4th gear (I'm not using it in sport nor manual mode).

 

It threw a cel approx. 3 days ago, for p0700. The cel stayed on, sport mode flashing, and cruise control light flashing as well. Transmission seemed to have went into a safe mode locking me into wat seems either 3rd gear or 4th. Shortly after arriving home, I shut the vehicle off and checked the transmission fluids. levels were on point, however it seem it has not been serviced in a long long time. I continued to turn the vehicle back on, sport mode was no longer flashing but the CEL was on still, and cruise control light was flashing still. I took it for a test drive, it seemed to drive perfectly fine, in fact on my 5 to 10 minute drive the CEL and cruise control light turned off.

 

**Last night it happened again, now I got CEL a p0700 and p0768. To my understanding that's transmission malfunction and solenoid d electrical, could a transmission fluid drain and fill resolve this? Maybe any other ideas how maybe fix this? Maybe a TCU reset? I'm pretty sure previous owner wasnt best caretaker prolly ran it hard judging by the way he drove on our test drive/ comparing it to my driving lol.

***update*** decided to drive the legacy to work. Drove it to the post office then work all in all trip was 40 minutes, I kept the revolutions @ 2500 and below, no issues what's so ever. Drove as smooth as butter. How ever the CEL is still on, and Cruise was still flashing but no sport flashing so it was not in limp mode.

 

Does seem more as in maybe just a tranny fluid change and filter as well? Opinion deeply valued. Will attempt this on my day off Wednesday.

 

 

*** update***Drove home from work, and it hard shifted while I was coming to a stop and sure enough it went right into limp mode. So looks like I'mma let be till my day off.

So nobody ever answered but I gonna post anyways to help the next person with my same issues, I drained the fluid from transmission no shaving or nothing was a little darker however. After filling it back up I now have no issues. After a couple more miles I will do it again to simulate a flush rather than a drain and fill :) I will post if anything changes. Some Issues resolve with the Fluid Problem, Mine at 132K Shifting was bad, but since I change the Fluid with a total flush everything smoothens. But in a rare case I don't have a warning code.
