VtecKickingIn Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Hi all, I have a 2002 Legacy GT and a long crack has started to form around the bottom after hitting a big pothole recently. The crack itself is at least 7 or 8 inches now, so the windshield will have to be replaced. What I am thinking of doing is to get a windshield from a part out, and getting a shop to do the replacement. Unfortunately I could only find Outbacks that are being parted out on my local craigslist, and I'm wondering if a Outback windshield can fit on my Legacy? Also has anyone done a windshield replacement before? Anything I should watch out for? Cheers
madrig Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 a brand new glass is not so expensive , what not even 250 installed for me , 06 lgt , considering is the heated one . what you should watch is when you remove it , if you scratch the metal be sure to seal it so rust dont come !
RumbleRumble Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I'd go OEM if you got the bills. Safelite glass is crap. Buddy had 100 rock chips in a week.
