SWP-LegacyGT
Well having broke the 1,000 mile barrier on my car this last weekend, gas mileage seems a bit better, the exhaust note seems a bit more aggrressive, and I realized that the projectors on the car are F'ning bright! I counted 16 times on my trip up to Seattle and back that I got flashed from different drivers because they thought I had my high beams on. What's funny, is I then proceeded to flash them and keep my high beams on until I passed them. Regardless, I'm a firm believer in just upgrading the bulbs and "may" get Xenons for "looks" later down the line. Anyways, I just can't believe people thought I was driving with my brights on. Guest *Jedimaster*
I get that a lot too- and mine's an Outback so it sits higher and people really think I'm flashing them
NutBucket
Maybe they were aimed a bit too high? I think mine are but nobody has flashed me yet.

Deer Killer
At about 10 foot distance, I adjusted my beams down about a foot from factory setup. They had never been adjusted it seems. I would guess no one else's has either.

Wouldn't bother wasting money on fancy headlights, stocks are quite good.

emorphien
I think they are flashing you because your headlights are aimed too high. Most likely this is true. Get them adjusted if it's happening that much. Nobody has flashed me on mine, in fact they seem to be aimed perfectly but I still love how far they project and how bright they are plus how well they illuminate the road ahead. And on top of that the high beams are fantastic. I've been in a couple cars with better headlights but really I am nothing but pleased with these. forestir
The cutoff is very sharp, so you can generally see if they're aimed right when driving in traffic. The cutoff should be visible as you illuminate the car in front of you... the light shouldn't be hitting their rear window on a level road. Our underdamped suspensions are probably causing the lowbeam cutoff to "flash" oncoming drivers. That could by why they're flashing back.
rallispec
i've only been flashed a handfull of times since having the car.
Xenonk
agreed, it is bright enough.. I was driving my gf's Baja and she drove my car as we were heading home from PA to MD around 9pm at night.. it's definitely bright enough.. especially with stiffer suspension on the GT, when the car hits dips and bumps, I swore the GT was flashing me, (not my gf ) Keefe
laz
I find them bright and with a nice cutoff as well, really love the projectors, much better than any other stock lights but regardless I will be upgrading to HID's from RPM. They are already on their way to me! X ---

Th3Franz
They are great until the stock bulbs both burn out in a year's time. I made the switch to SilverStars and I think they are even a little bit brighter.. and hopefully will last longer. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
NutBucket
My experience with Silverstars is they'll burn out even faster. Cool Blues seem to last a long time though.
Boostjunkie
+1 on the low beams being aimed too high. I have HID's which are much brighter than stock and I never get high beamed. I was driving behind SnoDork a little while ago and I called him to ask if my car gave off too much glare. He said that my lights looked whiter and brighter than the other cars on the road, but that there was no glare at all. When I'm following another car, I can clearly see where my beam pattern cuts off and it is always well below the window line.
nKoan
My friend decided the same thing (that the stock lights are plenty bright) after me following him for 2hrs at night one time I think mine are aimed too high as well, because I also get high flashed from time to time. Not all the time, but frequently enough to know its not one sensetive driver complaining. I've been meaning to level them out, but I keep forgetting. Maybe I'll get around to doing it. voyetra8
What's funny, is I then proceeded to flash them and keep my high beams on until I passed them. This many people flashing you is a clear indication that something is wrong with the way your headlights are aimed. They are flashing to say "Hey, your high beams are on and it's making it hard for me to see." And you reply with "YOU WANT HIGH BEAMS I'LL SHOW YOU HIGH BEAMS!" Yeah, totally hilarious. mach_six
Or maybe you you're driving around with DRL instead of yours light on. I never got flashed.

I thought it was that exactly how I was thinking. Regardless, I'm not planning on re-aiming the headlamps just for a few people. My lights light up the road at night and that's what I need.
