madrig Posted April 29, 2018 Author Share Posted April 29, 2018 the Mcintosh radio electric/electronic is not my strong side but i managed to plug it all , collecting info from the web ! so i post some infos here if it can help . at the moment i decided to go with the mcintosh , the jdm facia plus an aftermaket radio seemed to be too expensive for me . the mcintosh have the aux , an amp to run more speakers , what is enought for me . an idea was also that further i could seperate the clim control and build a facia to ad and aftermarket radio . of course i think if you really want the best sound , performance is better to go with aftermarket radio and amp . also new radio can pair with your phone . i need to finish to upgrade the speakers , the oem speakers from the legacy are dying . i had to find the plug for the amps , i remenber huyndai plug was a match i wired the amps from the wire on the right pillar . there is a free fuse Amp in the engine bay and tracked the wire to the plug in the right front pillar . the wire end on the plug . there is the two studs under the passenger seat to fix the amps . nothing special about pluging the radio , this is described on the jdm facia radio thread. madrig Posted May 26, 2018 Author Share Posted May 26, 2018 had the time aslo to test fit the support for he subwoofer and salvaged the underseat sub . definitly will have to soundproof the quarter panel for vibration . this is temporary as i plan to redo all the audio system with new speakers . an other winter project ! madrig Posted July 3, 2018 Author Share Posted July 3, 2018 had the code p0457 many time , the code come on only when i cruise at 100kmh , i usually not cruise at this speed but recently i got a remember that is better to respect speed limit . trying to explain to the law my driving attitude is in relation with an engine code , maybe not a good idea. but true , get on highway cruise for ten minute and christmas light on !! if only city driving no . so decided to change the gas cap , like yes , is so easy to fix a subaru! no luck so will have to investigate fo a leak somewhere . Is this for the 2.5 GT? yes for the legacy ! the 3 belt cover will be on sale tomorow ,after i take few pics . there are the first batch that i made , using different fabric to gauge interest . i like this design , but the original concept is that you can make any shape you wish from the engine cover base . if you can imagine it i will trim it for you !
