Ddhiggins
My 1995 subaru legacy makes a squeak-squeak-squeak sound when it is in reverse gear; and moving backwards....If; while I am moving backwards; and I shift to neutral; the noise stops; while I continue to roll backwards....this squeak occurs without application of the brakes; and continues with the application of the brakes; and continues as I gently ride the brakes as it rolls backward..it squeaks only when the vehicle is in reverse gear; and moving backwards..... any ideas as to what this is???? doublechaz
Carrier bearing? I don't know. That's a weird one. Four jack stands or a lift and get under it while it is 'driving in reverse' until you can point to the sourse.
