saccpa
Can someone tell me how to switch the MPG display back to average from instantaneous? It's always been set to average but a few days ago for unknown reasons started showing instantaneous. Pressing and holding the trip reset button resets the A and B trip miles driven but doesn't seem to change the average vs. instantaneous mileage display. Have checked the manual but don't see any instructions on this. Thanks.

ammcinnis
(Owners manual is virtually useless for this sort of thing) ... especially if you never read it. See the 2018 Legacy/Outback Owners Manual, pages 3-34 through 3-40. Page 3-37 shows the "Average fuel consumption screen" and "Current fuel consumption screen." Seems pretty clear to me. saccpa
Wrong. Spent an hour in the manual last night, but never found this section. Sorry to be a bother.
ammcinnis
Sorry to be a bother. I'm glad to help, actually, until you start blaming the manual.
