4SeasonTrekker
I’m shopping around and there are a few 2015 Legacys 2.5 with about 40 000 Kms. I don’t know anything about the Legacy or what to be asking or the history of the 2015. Any help before buying one would be a great help. Thanks
Pilot1226
2015 was a remodel year. It (the 2.5) features the FB series engine which runs off 0w20 oil, has good economy. 40k km's is pretty low for a car that's been driven for around 3 years. My guess is it might be coming off a lease ending. You could go certified pre-owned for some peace of mind, if it's from a dealer. Here's a link to a review from Edmunds which highlights changes. https://www.edmunds.com/subaru/legacy/2015/review/

I’m sure with every year or generation they all had there problems or maintenance issues. I’ve read quite a bit but not quite as much as I would like to. Was just hoping that it’s reliability would be like my Honda Accord that just hit 350 000 Kms and all it ever needed was fluid changes and pads, rotors. Pretty sure we have threads where people talk about the things that annoy them about their car, differences in model years, how much they paid, how to's on regular maintenance to mods, etc. Sent from my LG-H871 using Tapatalk
securityguy
Got rid of my 2015 after 2.5 years with just over 30K miles. Was a great car and never a problem with it even though it was a first-year car. Highly recommend but make sure you have all of the service records just to ensure the oil was changed when it was supposed to be. At this low a mileage, all you should see are oil changes and tire rotations. Maybe a cabin air filter.
