SubaruofCO
I am looking for a local shop (Denver area) or anywhere in Colorado to take my 2005 Legacy GT Manual Wagon to get the engine rebuilt/replaced. Any recommendations from anyone on a good shop with good prices? I've been calling around, but just wanted to see if anyone had experience or if I missed some places. I want to get my baby back on the road and I don't have the time or space to do it myself! Thank you!!
relative4
I'm sure you're aware that Suba Performance are pretty much the go-to guys, but... any interest in selling?
SubaruofCO
No man it’s my dream car! I looked for a long time for an 05 Wagon Limited MT haha. I wouldn’t be alright letting it go even not running for less than $3000
shralp
Heubergers Subaru is close to you and they have the cheapest short block prices in the entire nation. Might as well just buy a new shortblock from them as rebuild pricing is going to be about the same when you figure in labor. $1600 and change from them... sunny5280
I take mine to Silver Star for service. Been very happy with their service and pricing. I've never had anything as serious as an engine rebuild so I can't speak to that.
SubaruofCO
Shralp- I would love to buy a new shortblock and get my heads redone but like I said, I don’t have the time or space to do it myself at the moment unfortunately
shralp
Yup got it. What I meant is once you find a good shop to work with its easier to just give them a short block from Heubergers and instead of having them rebuild it
