LHD motor swap into a RHD

Recommended Posts

I haven't done it before but I'd imagine everything would be flipped, some of which is just a matter of literally flipping it and others require donor parts. The metal fuel lines and sensor locations may be reversed so you'll have to pull parts from a RHD version. But I think just about everything else would be the same.

It's a 2.2, auto., and a 97 Postal that I'm swapping it into, so 2.2, auto., I just didn't know if it would be reversed or something weird, but I think it'd be the same all the way. The RHD mail Jeeps APPARENTLY have some special parts because they're RHD, but it doesn't appear that my Subaru has the same issue.

My parts guy was talking about RHD postal 2.2 legacy wagon and his claim was that everything he could think of to look up in his system was the same except the steering rack. That info is somewhere between 'a rumor I heard', and 'my friend knows this guy that...'. FWIW.
