Turboru
Hi all, Bought a 2005 Legacy GT with 137K miles. I thought it drove better in the test drive than now! So basically I am getting 18 MPG in very conservative driving. When I get into boost the car is very unsmooth and power stumbles / surges. And when I am stopped I can smell unburnt gas. I am going to swap out the fuel lines as they are looking old, but any other ideas?
relative4
Do some diagnosis before replacing parts. Re gas smell, the clamps that attach the hoses to the hard lines loosen up. Look for dark spots and tighten up as appropriate. Loss of fuel pressure may or may not account for your performance problems. Get a scanner with live data (OBDLink w/ BtSsm is nice) and watch fuel trims, misfires, etc.
