A_A_ron
What do you guys recommend for the best way to add camber and caster adjustability without limiting either or your suspension? Build Thread
GTEASER
For camber, the stock camber bolt has plenty of adjustment, otherwise, that in concert with camber plates if you're running coilovers would be the only way to get more besides using the Whiteline Com-C tophats as mentioned below. For caster, our only option is the AVO bushing that comes in 0 and +0.5 degree options. http://www.avoturboworld.com/catalog/products_filter.php?f35=6MT&f34=EJ25+2.5+Turbo&f32=2010&f33=Subaru+Legacy&sort=products_name For both camber and caster additions in a single product, Whiteline Com-C tophats. But something worries me about that listing. I know for sure that the 2008-2014 WRX uses different tophats than us, and they are listed in the fitment chart. And the Whiteline Australia website lists no Com-C product for us. https://whitelineperformance.com/subaru-front-strut-mount-offset-assembly-camber-caster-correction-kca409 http://www.whiteline.com.au/do_segue4.php?make=SUBARU&model=LEGACY&model_final=LEGACY+BM%2C+BR+INCL+TURBO&vehicle=9%2F2009-12%2F2014 These may work. http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=KCA335&sq=27900 GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold Stapp's Law: “The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle.” "Simple incompetence is a far more sinister force in the world than evil intent." raider600
Can the rear camber be adjusted on stock struts?
GTEASER
Can the rear camber be adjusted on stock struts? No. We don't have struts in the rear, we have a coilover style shock. You can however install aftermarket adjustable lower control arms in the rear. A_A_ron
Huge thanks, gTeaser. The reason I ask is when I got an alignment a while back they said my caster was just a half degree out of spec. He said if I was getting coil overs it would fix the problem or at least make it fixable. I am doing more research and getting pretty close to deciding on going with air but I want to have all the necessary parts ready to install when the time comes. raider600 - good question. You will need adjustable rear lower control arms to get camber adjustment in the rear. Check this thread for more on that. EDIT: Damn G beat me to it but still take a look at the link. gTeaser do you have a life outside this forum? haha Build Thread
GTEASER
I can't believe that your caster on both sides is that out of spec. Do you have your alignment sheet? Fixing caster with coilovers really isn't what you want to be doing, it requires turning the camber plate 120 degrees in the strut tower and then you are relegated to directly linking camber to caster. Camber plates are meant to do just what the name says..."camber plate" and the adjustment slot should be oriented 90 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the car. gTeaser do you have a life outside this forum? haha Yes, believe it or not. A_A_ron
I'll find my alignment sheet when I get home. Everything was in spec but the castor which he said was just out of the standard spec range. Build Thread
