DW65c fuel pressure issue?

Recommended Posts

I got an email from the tuner stating that they've "often seen issues with DW65c fuel pumps building pressure slowly"

I received this message after I submitted my 2nd round of data logs.

I've attached the logs from both rounds, here on this thread.

I've been reading around here and on NASIOC on what could cause this, but I haven't hit on anything that really stands out yet...

Each round of logs includes:

cruise control log 6th gear @ around 60mph

wide open throttle log 4th gear from ~2500 rpm - ~5500 rpm

idle log

2008 lgtb

vf52

stock injectors

DW65c

cobb downpipe

tgv deletes

cobb intake

samco turbo inlet and bpv hose

grimmspeed tmic

I'm not trained at analyzing data logs, so I'm really interested to see if any of you have any clues as to what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance

Can't comment on your logs but my car is very similar to your build. When my engine blew the engine builder suggested replacing the DW65c currently installed (among other things). Even with the pump only being 11 months old he said they are seeing unusually high failure rates with them and strongly suggested replacing it with an AEM unit along with the new engine build.

Edit: Not trying to say the pump somehow caused my engine to blow. Just something suggested by a reputable builder to give me peace of mind with regards to fueling the new block.
