edgemoulic
JDM you know what it means, I want to know for those experienced guys who installed those parts like shock absorbers, I was offered $450 full set of the shocks, would they last long I know the OEM is mad eBay KYB, will it worth the money or I’d rather go with the aftermarket
Phate
...what? JDM means Japanese Domestic Market, although there are a number of brands that have started using "JDM" in their branding. Usually said brands are cheap junk. Why is KYB "mad ebay?" They're a large manufacturer of shock absorbers. They make shocks for many OEM's. Just like Tokico or Bilstein or Koni. Basically I'm not sure what you're asking. Like what's even going on? So you were offered a full set of shocks/struts for $450, I get that, and you want to know if they'll last long, if they're worth the money, or if you should just go with aftermarket. Are they new or used? What kind are they?
MilesA
A brand new set of Koni Yellows or Bilstein HDs can be bought for around $600, if you can catch them on sale. Konis have a lifetime warranty as long as you own the car. Bilstein's warranty is similar, IIRC. Aftermarket (non-OEM) shocks can also be rebuilt for a reasonable cost. Why take a chance on shocks with an unknown history? They could be wearing out. In terms of quality, Koni and Bilstein are generally better than KYB. Springs and other non-wearing suspension components make more sense to buy JDM, if they are really what you want.

I’m into longevity for I want to keep the car for a long time.

sshole
I'd like to see somebody sell stuff under the brand name "JDM". That will be a fun day on honda-tech.

WRX USA
Here’s how they look, no leak but do they last? Those are Bilsteins. Knowing the approximate mileage on them will be helpful for determining how much life could still be in them.
