Picture request

Wondering if someone can get me a picture of the factory spare tire (donut) with the tray as it sits in their 05-09 Legacy sedan.

 

I'm sure some of you still have the factory spare tire all intact. When I bought my car it came with a full size spare and I am wanting to know what is all there if I put a donut in it's place. Already I find that the floor doesn't quite sit right.

You'd put the spare wheel face side down, secure it with the washer nut and put a foam piece inside which holds the essential tools for changing a spare.

Thanks Argyle, was hoping for just a picture but the diagram works too.

 

So I have the tray with all the bits, it's just the donut spare I'm missing. Previous owner swapped it out with a full size tire for some reason.

He probably did that because different sized wheels can put strain on the differentials. This is a well known issue on subarus or awd vehicles.

Didn't think of that, I went to fullsize so I could continue going highway speeds after a flat.

 

You can't use the weird washer thing to bolt it down, but the foam tray still fits with all the tools an such. I just crammed the space outter space of the well with other road side supplies to keep it from moving around.
