legaru
Assuming everyone has vinyl-clad aluminum plates. Bend the edges at the ridge after you cut notches in the corners so it will fold onto itself. Fold each edge down in a vice or sheet metal bending break. Round the corners then attach as is with spacers or alot of washers so it doesn't scratch the paint. Why? Because I like clean and simple, visibility is 100% improved and it is harder to remove by vandals. I intentionally left the edges sharp in case someone actually thinks they will be able to use it after it has been modified.
legaru
On the front license plate it's even more of an advantage, strength + looks. In the dark reflecting light it lights up like a glow bug, the retro-reflective paint glows from the side
