MikeC5
I recently purchased a set of 0.5 mm over NPR pistons and rings for my stock 2002 2.5 rebuild. When previously rebuilding 2 other 2.5s, in which I replaced the pistons, the NPR rings sets had the bent tab on the ends of the oil control rings. This current set does not and I'm wondering if NPR has gone away from the bent tab design or are these maybe not the correct rings? I have asked the vendor who sold them to me but no answer yet. MikeC5
Thanks Max. I did call NPR and they confirmed that flat oil rings were not correct for Subarus. I did get a hold of the vendor and they apologized for sending the wrong rings and have another set coming my way.
