inner and outer tie rod ends

Recommended Posts

This may not be an answer and should be considered a response.

Moog makes quality products and from my experience, the boot usually loses integrity before the joint does. Most subarus are light vehicles with not a lot of clearance, I believe a zerk might be at target to get 'knocked off'.

If you need to replace the same ball joint multiple times, something else is going on - mechanical or heavy driving habits (like cranking the steering wheel while the vehicle is stationary, torquing the joint). I usually buy lifetime guaranteed products and they outlast other essential, expensive parts which compromises the life of the vehicle.

In summary, I don't think a zerked tie-rod or ball joint end is important for the life or safety of most subarus.

My two-cents -- Ken
