Max Capacity
First off, how bad did the old turbo blow, did it put metal into the oil system ? Check the banjo filter on the back of the head. Most of us remove it. Most of us go with a vf52 and a tune. You'll need a tune for the 3" catted down pipe anyway. Because you said up pipe, I assume the car is a 05-06 ? Cobb AP is a good start, but a vf52 will need a custom tune. A vf40 can use the stock MAP in the Cobb stage 2, it's good but not perfect, but for you it would be fine. If your good with a lap top, you can buy the cable and go with a e-tune from Mike at http://www.tuningalliance.com or Dave at http://www.cryotuneperformance.com/ Both are the ones we highly recommend. Tell either one I sent you. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. relative4
Since you've read the stickies, etc., you are doubtless aware that you may be out an engine as well. Have you pulled the pan to assess the damage?
