Jay98LGT
After last winter good old Pearl has developed windshield wiper play. There's about 3 inches of free play in the wipers when actuating, but they are still connected so I don't think it's a problem in the transmission, but I don't know. Help?? I'll got take a video and do a quick clip showing what I mean. 2007 Legacy
Jay98LGT
Not sure how to embed it. But link to video showing the play and with the wipers running.
relative4
There's a linkage casing between the motor and the arms. Your problem is in there. Pull the arms, remove the cowling, take out the motor & linkage assembly. Repair or preferably replace the linkage, and reassemble.
grovlet
I had something like that - simple fix 1 - pop off the covers on the connection arm 2 - loosen the nut - probably already loose 3 - lift off the arm and re-position 4 - re-tighten nut 5 - re-install cover

So no, not a loose arm fixing nut.
