Brady
No reason it wouldn't. I was under the impression 2.5 liter was a maximum displacement for some race classes and they might produce an engine matching that displacement. You should probably do some research then. I'm going to tell you about this amazing site that will help you ... it's called "Google". You can find it here: http://www.google.com 2.0 Liters was the long time maximum displacement for WRC. When the WRX came to the USA in the 2002 model, they couldn't really hit the target of 276 hp (per "gentlemen's agreement" in Japan) that that STI and Evo had with their JDM right hand drive counterparts due to differences in fuel availability. Mitsubishi decided to go for it anyway, but Subaru realized "Hey, we have this 2.5L motor, why don't we just massage it for a turbo and be damned with the arbitrary 2.0L maximum ... after all, we still sell enough 2.0L versions worldwide to satisfy homologation rules, and we'll make a splash in the US with 300 hp". And now that Subaru doesn't even participate in WRC, they have no reason to abide by any arbitrary displacement rules for motorsport.
