jw51545
Hey guys, first time poster long time reader and have seen a post to help me out yet. so my problem is when i turn right under power i have a clunking the sounds similer to a bad cv axle but recently replaced with both fronts from raxles(was highly recommended in one of the forums), new moog wheel bearings and just had new sway bar end links replaced at a local shop but the didnt notice the clicking/clunking noise. Should i take another look at the wheel bearing or is there something else i should look at?
relative4
Sounds like the inner joint on your new right axle may be be bad. Also check those links and the sway bar bushings. And check the ball joints, etc.
Max Capacity
You had Moog front hub's installed...does your cruise control work ? jw51545
Found another thread where a guy had the same issue and had a bad transmission mount so I ordered a new mount for tranny and group N engine mounts, Cruise was working till I put on a catless up pipe but have the resistors on the way to fix the cel/ blinking crude control light
Max Capacity
Cruise was working till I put on a catless up pipe but have the resistors on the way to fix the cel/ blinking crude control light Your the first one I've heard of that has Moog front wheel bearings and CC works. Back in the day, CC would surge a little and then fail. We replaced the Moog's with OEM or one of the other two recommended brands and CC worked fine after that. May be Moog fixed that issue... 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. jw51545
I saw that people had the issue and ordered Timkin wheel bearings but didn't put them in yet
Mr.RMFC
I have the same thing happen with my car in the winter. My grandfather (mechanic) says it is likely due to grease freezing up and not moving very well (I Live in Manitoba where it gets to -45 celcius) If its not cold where you are. likely something mechanical. Hope you figure this out
Max Capacity
I saw that people had the issue and ordered Timkin wheel bearings but didn't put them in yet Back in the day. I removed the Moog and returned it. got my $140. back and paid $128 for an OEM. jw51545
i should be able to put the engine mounts and tranny mount insert in this week end and let you know if it works
jw51545
Hey guys, got the the mounts put on today and looks like it fixed the problem. Did the rallitek race insert and that alone fixed the cv noise while turning under power but adds a decent amount of NVH but from what I've read about the insert it will get better over time
